The School of Health Studies, University of Bradford has a strong research profile which focuses on the following themes, all of which have a direct impact on the quality of patient care:
The 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) recognised 75% of the total research at the School as being of internationally recognised originality, significance and rigour, with 35% as internationally excellent or better. Our research is undertaken in collaboration with the NHS and a range of social care partners.
Our excellence in research also has a positive impact on the student learning experience. The majority of our research active staff also have teaching responsibilities, ensuring that our students learn in a research active environment and are taught by leaders in their field.
