Centre for Inclusion and Diversity

The Centre for Inclusion and Diversity, based at the School of Health Studies and led by Professor Uduak Archibong consolidates and facilitates the development of applied research on inclusion and diversity at the University of Bradford.

The Centre aims to become a world class centre of expertise in applied research, knowledge transfer (equality and diversity advisory service, evaluation of equality and diversity initiatives, cultural capability training, review, monitoring and impact assessment), policy and programme development, and consultancy on inclusion and diversity. Its priorities include workforce diversity in health and education, inequalities in health and social care, researching disadvantaged groups, cross-cultural negotiation of community/family access to, and engagement in public services, culturally sensitive measurement and psychometrics, visible difference and disfigurement research. It also acts as a resource for researchers, educationalists and clinicians and provides a forum for consultation and dialogue on inclusion and diversity.

The Centre also runs a unique programme in equality and diversity. Students can choose to study the full MSc programme, a Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma or individual modules.
