Here's everything you need to know if you're getting ready to graduate.

Your graduation preparation checklist
- We will email you with the important information about graduation so make sure your contact details are up to date.
- Use the graduation reply task in e:Vision to let us know you are coming.
- Book your guest tickets (two maximum) and inform us of any seating adjustments in your response.
- We will let you know if there are any more tickets to buy a few weeks before the ceremony.
- Inviting guests from overseas? Your graduation invitation email can be used to support the purpose of the visit.
- Clear any outstanding debts before 1 June 2026 - find out how to pay.
- Book your gown hire and choose your photography package.
- Find out what happens on your Graduation Day.
- Plan your travel and any accommodation to ensure you arrive on time for your ceremony.
Not attending the graduation ceremony in person?
- Use the graduation reply task in e:Vision to let us know if you want to defer or graduate in absentia.
- No access to e:Vision? Your ceremony invitation included a link an online reply form which does not require you to sign in.
- Use the form to let us know how you wish to receive your certificate if graduating in absentia.
Gown hire and photography
To attend the ceremony you will need to wear the University of Bradford academic dress appropriate to your award.
You will be provided with a link to hire your gown and book your photography.
The University works with Marstons Events to ensure that appropriate academic dress is readily available to all graduands. If you choose to order academic dress from Marstons Events, you’ll need to do this at least two weeks before your ceremony. They will have a limited number of gowns available to hire on the day, but a late order may incur an additional fee so make sure you order in time.
You will collect your gown on the day of your graduation ceremony after you have registered and collected your tickets.
Students who attend with incorrect academic dress will be directed to the Marston Events gowning area to hire the correct gown and hood.
You may choose to have your photographs taken before you graduate but please ensure you allow enough time to register, collect your gown, and be seated on time for your ceremony.

You’ve got the degree, now buy the t-shirt! We’ve teamed up with the brilliant Campus Clothing to offer you the chance to celebrate your graduation with a hoodie or t-shirt. All garments are fair trade, and already have your name and those of your fellow course mates printed on the back. You can even add bespoke personalisation to make your memento that extra bit special.
The Campus Clothing staff will have a stall at your ceremony, but you can skip the queues and avoid disappointment by pre-ordering.
