Message from our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mark Cleary
The research profile of the University is vitally important for our future success. Student employability and ‘research that makes a difference’ are key parts of our identity and help define what we believe we are good at. The new Research Excellence Framework (REF) will benchmark our research and knowledge transfer activity against other UK universities. It is very important that we clearly understand where we have international and world class excellence on our work and we will be looking to continue to invest in staff and facilities in those areas where we have a clear competitive advantage.
