ITALIA | Brian Hindmarch

Brian Hindmarch exhibited his landscape photography from the Hebrides, in Gallery II in 2005. In the last 3 years he has been producing images specifically from the regions of Tuscany, Umbria and the Veneto, Italy. These images examine the architecture, exteriors and lavish interiors for their decorative ornamentation, indicating the intimate relationship between the Italian sensibility for beauty and happiness, both sacred and secular.

This is a personal 'glimpse' and indicates his progress in a continuing survey of the invaluable sources evident in this rich visual environment.

Brian Hindmarch is a full-time lecturer in Graphic Design, at the Bradford School of Arts and Media, specialising in typography, print, photography and design history.
