Background:

Refugee Week is a week-long, national event, which celebrates the contribution of refugees and promotes understanding of why people flee their home countries to seek sanctuary.

The Art Exhibition is part of a packed programme of Refugee Week 2017 events in Bradford.

This is an all-age, mixed-media exhibition, with individual and collaborative work.  Exhibits from groups of all kinds are most welcome, as is work by asylum seekers and refugees, art students and established artists.  There is no selection process.

The theme:   Our shared future is the theme for Refugee Week 2017 nationally. Free interpretations of the theme are welcome, including those which take a more questioning approach.

Contact: If you would like to submit work and need a registration form, or would just like to know more, contact Mary Blacka on 07415 307389 or at schools@bradford.cityofsanctuary.org.
