Security and Emergency Services

The Security & Emergency Services Office is located in the Atrium of the Richmond Building. It is staffed at all times of the day and night and staff are available to help you with any problems that you may have.

Security staff can be contacted by telephoning:

• For Routine Matters: 01274 - 236999 from a mobile or external telephone, or 6999 from an internal telephone.
• For Emergencies: 01274 - 234499 from a mobile or external telephone, or 4499 from an internal telephone.
• Richmond Reception: Mon-Fri 8.30am-5.30pm, 01274 - 234894 from a mobile or external telephone, or 4894 from an internal telephone.

There is also a Security Office at the School of Management, which are not staffed at all times.

If you need help or advice contact the main Security Office in the Atrium in the Richmond Building.

Security staff deal with all types of incidents and if you have any concerns about suspicious persons or incidents do not hesitate to contact the Security Office on one of the telephone numbers shown.

A number of Security staff, male and female, patrol all areas of the University on foot and by vehicle throughout the day and night. There is an extensive system of CCTV cameras, Intruder Alarms and Access Control in all areas of University property for your safety and security.
