University Honey

Bee Infographic It's been a busy summer for our bees. Our bee keepers have extracted over 400 jars of honey which we will be giving away at both the School of Management and City Campus.

Come along to the Atrium at the School of Management on the 2 September 2014 at 12 noon or the Richmond Building Atrium on the 3 September at 12 noon.

The University has 250,000 bees in our colony on city campus who make an average of 70kg of honey and help polinate up to 20,000 square metres of fruit trees.

The adjacent image illustrates how important bees are food production with an estimated third of all food pollination dependent and how bees contribute £400 million to the economy.
