The new Sir Titus Salt building at the University's School of Management is a three storey learning resource centre, completed in January 2010. It unites the School of Management's campus, formerly split into two parts, through a new two-story Atrium. The building design brings together the existing Victorian buildings with modern, cutting-edge design. The building design and facilities include maximisation of daylight and minimisation of solar gain, uses a biomass boiler, extra cycling storage and shower facilities, electric car charging points, imporoved access for disabled people and "live" public transport information.
The building has also won the RICS Pro- Yorkshire Award in 2011 for its sustainable building credentials.
