Dr Mostafa Mohamed

BIOGRAPHY +

Dr Mohamed is Senior Lecturer in Geotechnical Engineering and currently the Head of Civil Engineering Discipline. Dr Mohamed has gained a wide range of expertise from working in academia and industry. His research interests lie in the area of geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering. In particular, his key research areas are recovery of thermal energy from soils, soil reinforcement, modelling unsaturated soils, consolidation of soft soils, soil structure interaction, contaminant transport and treatment of wastewater using soil aquifers. Dr Mohamed has supervised 4 PhD students and is currently supervising 4 PhD projects. Dr Mohamed has published over 50 technical papers in leading engineering journals and at international conferences.

  • Internal bid awarded by the School of Engineering Design and Technology, University of Bradford with a sum of £5500 in 2008.

  • Internal bid awarded by the by the School of Engineering Design and Technology, University of Bradford with a sum of £10,000 in 2005 to develop an innovative acoustic technique for characterisation of soil properties.
