The School of Lifelong Education and Development host a range of public lectures  that aim to engage communities in discussion and learning. The events are listed below. We also host day schools and public programmes.

City Ward Community First Fund - Open

The City Ward Community First Fund is now open for applications. If you are a community organisation working within the City Ward in Bradford you can apply for up to £2500 to support projects that meet the specified priorities of the Ward. 

The first application deadline is Friday 25 May at 12 noon.

Leadership Institute for Communities

 The Leadership Institute for Communities is a membership scheme that has been developed by the School of Lifelong Education and Development that aims to develop the leadership potential and professional skills of members working within diverse   communities by empowering them through discourse, learning, practical workshops and sharing best practice.

Centre for Applied Social Research Events

The Centre for Applied Social Research (CASR) is a centre of excellence for the promotion, execution and dissemination of social scientific research and for the application of that research excellence in a wide range of practical areas. 

Based within the School of Social and International Studies CASR research has local, national and international relevance and for this reason they host a range of public events and lectures to disseminate their research and learning to the public.

An Evening with Tony Benn - Wednesday 20 June 2012 - 7.30pm The Great Hall

The School of Lifelong Education host An Evening with Tony Benn as part of its Bradford Debates Lecture Series.

Wednesday 20 June 2012 - The Great Hall - University of Bradford

The veteran Labour politician Tony Benn will be talking about his life in politics and what he thinks about the changes in the Labour party. Expect an evening of frank responses and entertaining political anecdotes. This is a welcome sequel to his original legendary theatre tour.

Tickets cost £12.50 for adults and £7.50 for students and must be booked in advance.
