Community Partnerships

Do you live or work in the Bradford District? Would you like to find out more about our campus, our community research expertise, our public programmes and community projects, hire our facilities or link with our students? If so get in touch with us through our helpdesk or browse these pages for further information.

 The University of Bradford is proud to be a part of the City of Bradford and District. We believe that through collaboration we can contribute positively to some of the important activities and issues for developing the District.

Some examples of ways we work in partnership with the district are below and in our Partnership Activities section.

Mark Cleary, Vice Chancellor states "We have moral and civic responsibility to support the development of the city, particularly the communities surronding the University."

Community Partnerships work at the University of Bradford is influenced by the UNESCO principles of Education for Sustainable Development. In particular the underlying values are;

  • Respect for the dignity and human rights of future generations and a commitment to intergenerational responsibility
  • Commitment to social and economic justice
  • Respect for cultural diversity and a commitment to build locally and globally a culture of tolerance, non violence and peace
