Events at the University of Bradford

Events and Partnerships provides a central function of coordinating and project-managing a wide range of events, including:

  • Public lectures
  • Themed specialist events
  • High profile conferences
  • Business networking events
  • University roadshows
  • Graduation Ceremonies

The Events and Partnerships Team are happy to work in an advisory capacity with academics and faculty or professional services staff to deliver faculty or service specific events, large and small.

To find out who is the most relevant person in the Events and Partnerships Team to advise on your event E-mail:  Telephone: +44 (0)1274 233216/7 (extension 3216 or 3217 if dialling internally.

All organisers of events that have an external presence on City Campus must submit the Application to run an event form. This should be done at the earliest stage possible in the planning of an event.

Commercial venue hire

As we are reviewing the use of our teaching and event spaces, all hire of University venues (except Heaton Mount and re:centre)  to external bodies is currently suspended until further notice. Bookings already finalised before 16 December 2013 will, of course, continue to be honoured.

About our events

Any large gathering that is neither scheduled teaching nor a routine meeting may be classed as an event.  There is a full definition of what constitutes an event.

Events at the University are governed by a policy and code of practice and are organised according to special procedures. Fixtures of the academic year, such as graduation ceremonies and enrolment, are also considered events, but treated slightly differently because they have well-established routines.
