Temporary closure of Unique

We apologise that because of continuing works and investigations, Unique Fitness & Lifestyle will not now re-open on Monday 10 October and will continue to be closed until further notice.  This is due to essential works needed to be taken out in line with procedures for the small traces of Legionella particles found in the water system. An update will be given week beginning 10 October.

A temporary exercise class schedule has been put in place and is available at www.bradford.ac.uk/unique/ These classes will take place in the Communal Hall at Student Central. No booking is required, places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Further information about Legionnaires is available on the NHS Choices website: http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Legionnaires-disease/Pages/Introduction.aspx If you are concerned  about your health, please contact NHS Direct on 0845 4647, or speak to your GP.

Works On Campus

Closure of Richmond Building 5 & 6 November

Stage two of the fire alarm replacement scheme within Richmond Building has now been completed. Programming of the system will take place on Friday 4th of November.

In order to ensure that the system is functioning as required it will be necessary to undertake a full and thorough test to ensure everything operates as we need it to.

Therefore it will be necessary to close the building down between the hours of 0800 and 1600 on both days (i.e. Saturday and Sunday 5th and 6th of November). Should the work be completed earlier than anticipated Security will be advised that the building may be occupied at the earlier time.

Please contact Steve Wiggins (s.w.wiggins@bradford.ac.uk) with any questions.
