New staff refectory service, from David Nuttall, Catering The staff refectory has a revised service from Monday 17th September. A new a la carte menu and wine list will be on offer and some limited dishes from the main refectory. Bookings are taken between 12.00-1.30pm Monday to Friday. Funds available to students 2001/2002, from Hilary Burton, Student Information Service There are many different funds that are available to students throughout the academic year. ILT Membership Deadline, from Beverley Lyons, TQEG A note to all members of staff that the deadline for the initial entry route for ILT Membership has been extended from September 2001 until July 2002. Meeting on 19 September with the MSF, from Janet Jones, Personnel The MSF (Manufacture, Science and Finance) has now organised itself into a Leeds/Bradford Universities Branch. All technical staff are invited to meet with the Branch Officers, Regional Officer and HE National Secretary. Mentor Schemes briefing, from Helen Crabtree, Staff Development 2 October, 9.15am-12.15pm, Tutor: Alan Cattell This briefing session will provide an overview of existing University mentoring schemes and how they function. It will mainly focus on mentors on the Career Development Scheme and academic mentoring of other new members of academic staff. This session is useful for those who will be or would like to become a mentor on one of the existing schemes. There is also a 1 day Mentor Training course available.
