Information for students - please pass on as appropriateUK Home Undergraduate Students can collect their student loan cheques from Meeting Room 3 of the Communal Building from the 19th September. The cheques are available between 9.30am in the morning and 4.00pm. After the 5th October the cheques will be available from Student Financial and Information Services Reception. Students need to bring their UBU Card and the Financial Assessment from the LEA or schedule from the Student Loan Company. Student Financial and Information Services can only keep the cheques for 28 days. Are you having a clear out?There are always a few students whose student loan cheques are late, or discover they are short of cash for groceries. They would really appreciate any non-perishable foods that you can donate. Student Financial and Information Services and the Student Advice Centre both situated in the Communal Building would be very pleased to receive anything that you can donate. Many first-year International Students will need letters to open bank account. Please note that a number of banks will only accept signatures from Student Financial and Information Servuces staff, after very stringent tightening of Banking regulations. Items needed range from pram, cot, bath etc. to clothing. Staff were very generous last year in donating items and we hope you can do the same again. Would he/she like to receive some first class training to help them improve their game? If so, this course is for them. It consists of a comprehensive cardio-vascular and resistance training programme in a controlled, safe and secure environment. The new course costs £60 and lasts for 20 sessions, beginning on Wednesday 16th October 2002. Limited places - application packs available from the Sports Centre office. |
