For all staff.

Appraiser Training - Half Day Refresher, from Helen Crabtree, Staff Development
2.00 - 5.00pm - Monday 19th March 2001 in the Boardroom, D floor, Richmond Building

For those who have been on the appraiser training course at some point in the past, but would welcome the opportunity to refresh their knowledge and hear how the appraisal process fits in with recently introduced planning procedures.

Appraisal is currently being implemented in a number of schools / departments. In many cases staff have already been trained, but appraisal skills have lain dormant for a number of years. If you fall into this category, or for any other reason would welcome an opportunity to reacquaint yourself with the appraisal process, then the Staff Development Unit is now in a position to offer an afternoon's refresher course.

It will cover:

  • Background to appraisal & how it now fits in now with other aspects of staff development policy and planning.
  • An opportunity to view (again) our appraisal training videos,
  • A reminder on good practice and questioning techniques for appraisal interviews.

If you like the idea of the half-day refresher but can't make this particular half-day, please let us know. We can then judge the demand for a second date. The next full 2 day appraiser training course is on April 11th & 12th.

To book your place, or to let us know you would be interested in subsequent dates, email: staffdev@bradford.ac.uk or fill in the booking form on the staffdevelopment website here.
