Important Reminder to staff

If any staff are aware of any serious incidents involving students or other staff, either on or off campus, they must report them to Security as soon as possible so that they can both initiate the necessary action and inform the relevant people.

Although some ‘serious incidents’ obviously involve Security, such as assault and theft, it is also important to inform Security of other incidents even if you feel it does not directly involve them. This may include accidents, death, court appearances, etc.

Security can be contacted 24 hours a day on 01274 (23)6999.

Do you have any spare wire or plastic in-trays/filing trays?

Over the summer period and during Enrolment, Student Registry uses a lot of in-trays/filing trays and we are running short. Please contact Simon Croll in Student Registry if you have any unused in-trays cluttering your stationery cupboard and we will take them of your hands.

Email s.n.croll@bradford.ac.uk or telephone ext: 6540 to arrange collection of any unwanted in-trays.

Annual Metrocard Purchase Scheme

This scheme involves the University purchasing the Annual Metrocards on a bulk basis and recovering the cost from participants by equal deductions from their salary/wage spread over the year.

The full range and prices of Metro Cards are as follows:

  • Bus £451.25
  • Railzones 1-3 £503.50
  • Railzones 1- 4 £612.75
  • Railzones 1- 5 £693.50
  • Railzones 2- 5 £494.00

All metrocards, whether for "bus only" or any railzone are valid on all buses in West Yorkshire and the bus network is not zoned. See the zone map at http://www.wymetro.com/images/maps/800px.jpg

In addition to the cost for the card a nominal £9.00 charge will be added towards the costs to the University for the administration of the scheme and the lost interest involved.

If there is sufficient support, the scheme will be continued with a start date of 1st October 2002 on the new cards. This will be the only date on which Metro cards may start under this scheme.
