Salad Days (Bradford University Society of Operettas and Musicals)
Thursday 17, Friday 18 and Saturday 19 March | 7.30pm
£4.50/£3.00Timothy and Jane have just graduated from University and now proudly own a degree each; this leads them to their first problem. Now that University is done and dusted what on earth are they going to do?
Timothy's parents insist he get a job instantly, and naturally Jane must be married off as quickly as possible. In their confusion the two hit on an ingenious plan, what if they were to wed? . . . of course that still means that Tim needs to get a job but at least half the problem would be solved. Coincidentally a passer-by offers Tim a job for a month; all he has to do is look after a piano.
But when the piano is a little out of the ordinary and the rest of society seems to have taken too much sugar in its morning cup of tea, we can only expect things to get stranger from here on in.

Friday 4 March - Friday 15 April 2005
Weekdays 11am-5pm (except Thursdays until 6pm) | free"Each of my works seeks to identify and isolate a particular aspect of what it is to be human, and to intensify that perceived state through the process of painting, intertwining elements of personal history into a symbolic language of the body.
"Every work is a representational painting of an abstract emotion, visualised using one or more experienced situations drawn from memory, but sometimes using empirical sources to fulfil the emotional resonance of the subject."
Andrew Whamond This exhibition is presented with the aim of showing the development of, and the engagement with, the subject over a period of years,1984-2005.

Yorkshire Water services Ltd are currently carrying out a programme of refurbishment to the water distribution mains in the area of the University campus. The first stage of these works will be the relining of the water main, which lies underneath Richmond Road. This will have no impact on the water supplies to any University building but will restrict the access through the security barriers at each end of Richmond Road.
The entrance to Richmond Road from Great Horton Road will be restricted to cars and small vans only.
The lower entrance at the Tumbling hill Street, Richmond Road Junction will be closed and will be an exit only for the period of the works.
These works will require the excavation of deep pits at each entrance; Staff and students are requested to respect the barriers which will be erected for their own safety.
Please contact: Keith Maven, Mechanical Maintenance Officer on ext 3437, if you have any queries regarding these works
