Changes to University Photography

As you may know, the University's Photographic Unit is closing down but you may not know the date, which is 28th February.

The service provided in relation to recruitment and publicity material (including photography of key events, images for News and Views, press and publicity/publications) will be unaltered from the users' point of view (and costs will be met by MCC as present).

Where requests fall outside this remit (e.g photography of class groups), MCC can help you find suitable freelancers, but the charge will have to be made to the School.

Photographic requests will be organised by the Corporate Communications Office, via email to photography@bradford.ac.uk, or by phone to ext: 3034.

Important information for all staff from the Print and Copy Centre

The Print and Copy Centre currently located in WLB5 Richmond Building is moving. We will be merging with the College Print Service and forming a separate company, jointly owned, called 'Inprint and Design' in a new location situated off Carlton Street, within the University Engineering block (one floor up from where we used to be).

The move has been taking place in phases over the past three weekends.

Although every effort is being made to minimise the effect on production, there undoubtedly will be some delays to customers' work in design, print and photocopying. If you have any queries on current work deadlines or forthcoming work over this period you should contact:

  • David Lee on ext: 3068
  • or Brian Pickles on ext: 1380.

We will be issuing more information on the new service over the next few weeks.

Ever fancied programming shows at a Theatre?

Theatre in the Mill is offering staff the chance to be part of a new programming team for autumn. The team will meet during March and April to discuss possible future shows, and Andrew Loretto, the Fellow in Theatre, will also train the team on looking at company information packs, negotiating contracts, and thinking about audiences.

The team will then have a say in the contents of Theatre in the Mill's autumn season!

If you would like to part of the team email Andrew at a.j.loretto@bradford.ac.uk completing the sentence "I would like to be part of Theatre in the Mill's programming team because..." in under fifty words.

Please send your emails by 28th February.
