New
Summer School Raises Aspirations
Participants taking part in
a new scheme to raise the aspirations and achievements of young people
recently celebrated the successful completion of a week-long Summer School.
Sixth-form students from schools
and colleges took part in the course as part of the University's Compact
Scheme.
The Scheme is the sixth-form
component of the Bradford University Academy.
All the participants were holding
firm offers from the University of Bradford. Successful completion of
assessed work will give the students 30 points towards their University
of Bradford offers.
The Summer School was the culmination
of a two-year programme which has included subject taster sessions, master
classes, and Associate Reader Status at the University Library.
