Jowett
Scholars Engineer Degrees
The Jowett family were represented
at this year's graduation ceremony to see the students they supported
come through their degrees.
Three graduates who received
Benjamin Jowett Memorial Scholarships met family member Jenny Reavill
during their big day.

Jenny said: "I have really
enjoyed coming to the University. To begin with, we had the award-giving
and now we are coming here to see the same students graduate.
"I know the students are very
grateful for the award but we are also very grateful for the reception
we have received. I have really enjoyed being part of it."
One of the three Jowett graduates,
Mechanical and Automotive Engineering student Gareth Mullen, had been
basketball coaching in Centenary Square prior to the ceremony. So as other
students nervously stood up to receive their awards, he claimed to be
quite relaxed.
"My time at the University
has been great. I have really enjoyed being here," he added. Mechanical
Engineering graduate Andrew Armstrong plans to continue his studies at
Leeds University, taking a Master's to become a Chartered Engineer.
He said: "This is the end of
three years of hard work so it feels strange but great at the same time.
My time at the University has been very demanding but I've had a great
time."
Benjamin Jowett founded the
Jowett Car Company in Bradford in 1906 - Bradford's only major car manufacturer.
