with the guidance of BCID tutors.
Visiting Senior Research Fellow
Dr Mike Tribe is supervising two students, Evelyn Vanderpuije and Ben
Tetteh. In Ghana, Evelyn works in the Bank of Ghana and Ben at the Ministry
of Finance. A third Ghanaian student, Emmanuel Osafo, is being supervised
by Ms Oriel Kenny at BCID.
Mike said: "BCID has a long-term
relationship with higher education institutions in Ghana. The visiting
students receive quality supervision and advice, have access to the University's
excellent library and computing facilities as well as experiencing a different
culture and learning environment."
The Master's programme is
supported by the World Bank and the African Capacity Building Fund, and
is one of four international programmes in sub-Saharan Africa. From 1990
to 2001, Dr Tribe co-ordinated a British Council Higher Education Link
with three Ghanaian universities.
