VIce-Chancellor visits China
Vice-Chancellor
Professor Chris Taylor recently made a five-day visit to China following
invitations from Heilongjiang University and the Xi'an Institute of Finance
and Economics.

Professor Taylor was welcomed
to the two institutions by the Vice-President of Heilongjiang University
Professor Qi Zhao and the President of Xi'an Institute Professor Yang
Xue Yi.
Following the visit, Professor
Taylor said: "This was a great opportunity to deepen our collaborative
agreements with these two institutions in China for which the University
receives over £1m per annum. I was particularly impressed with the facilities
offered to the students at both institutions."
The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied
by Head of the International Office Dr Haydn
Bartlett and International Liaison Officer (China) Sandy Johnson.
At a banquet held in his honour,
Professor Taylor expressed his commitment to the collaborative programmes
and hoped that over time the institutions would deepen and widen their
relationships.
