Thomas.Thomas Wins Bronze

Delighted runner Thomas Poulton-White has returned from Poland with a bronze medal after competing in the 60m event for people with learning disabilities at the World Indoor Athletics Championships.

Thomas, who works at the University as a cleaner, appeared in March News & Views when he was training for the event, with the help of the University's Sports Centre gym.

Friend and mentor Di Freeman said: "Thomas did really well as it was actually a photo finish and they had to enlarge the photograph to see who had come second. The photo finish was with the world record holder as well."
