Bradford appears in Accommodation Tables

Bradford is one of the most inexpensive places in the country for students to live, according to new research.

The survey, produced by www.accommodationforstudents.com, shows that the typical student at Bradford will pay just £41 per week rent, 24% below the national average of £53.80. The website surveyed 7,000 properties in 46 locations across the country. The site calls Bradford "a great place to live and study".

Director of Accommodation and Catering Services Andrew Abbey said: "This is great news for Bradford. With students increasingly worried about funding their education, it is reassuring for them to know that Bradford offers good quality accommodation at reasonable prices."

This is the second study to reveal Bradford is inexpensive - last August the University was listed as the least expensive student city in the UK by The Guardian poll, held in conjunction with the Virgin 2003 Alternative Guide to British Universities.
