GRANDAD SINGS TO HELP HANNAH

Postgraduate research student Robin Corrick sang solo at a special concert held in memory of his son, Roger, who died from a rare genetic disorder.

The 56-year-old Industrial Technology student sang at the Coronation Hall alongside various musicians, including the University Choir, to raise money for neurofibromatosis and St Mary's Hospice.

Robin's granddaughter Hannah Tucker also suffers from the disease. Hannah, of Ulverston, has an abnormality on her right eye and a growing lump on her back. Her family hopes the growth will not develop into the cancer which killed Roger last year at the age of 38.
