AUTHOR'S BOOK SELLS OUT

Geoff LeeFormer University student Geoff Lee (pictured left) is celebrating a sell-out of his first novel.

Geoff completed a BSc in Social Sciences (in Politics and Sociology) in June 1998 and went on to write One Winter - a novel which captures romance, rock 'n' roll and Rugby League in the 'swinging sixties'.

The initial print run of 2000 copies has now sold out and a second print run is planned.

Geoff, of Manor Lane, Shipley, said: "You could call me the Vivaldi of the Rugby League. Not many people reach this level of success and I do recognise a part of this is because I was a mature student at Bradford as well as a draughtsman.

"I have seen so many funny things in life generally and that gave me the urge to do this. However, I was better prepared to do the research and to plan it because I had been a student and written 10,000-word essays. It instilled a discipline and helped me to organise myself, to write well and understand the material."
