Forum for Peace

Local religious community leaders and academics recently met at the University to discuss the role the Holy City of Jerusalem is playing in the stalled Middle East peace process.

The Forum for Peace - Religion, Peace and the City of Jerusalem, is the brainchild of first year Peace Studies students at the University.

Among the speakers were representatives of both the Islamic and Jewish communities in Yorkshire.

The session was chaired by Professor Oliver Ramsbotham, Head of Peace Studies, and was open to students of all disciplines.
