BBC helps students

A BBC production team have donated money to a student fund following a successful project involving the University.

The programme 'Student Essentials' was screened in August last year after three days filming in Bradford. It aims to give school leavers an idea of what higher education is like.

University students from Archaeological Sciences, Automotive Engineering, Chemical and Forensic Sciences, Cybernetics, and the School of Management were filmed talking about their courses and their experiences at University.

Bradford was selected as one of only three universities in the country to feature in the programme.

The donation has been paid into a Financial Relief Fund aimed at helping full-time students in financial difficulty.

Adrian Pearce, Dean of Students said: "It is great to see the production giving something back to our students in this way."

Students requiring more information on financial assistance should contact Student Information Services in the Communal Building.
