IMAGINATIVE SPARKS CREATE BRIGHT IDEAS
Creative students sparked the imagination of industrialists during a recent
visit to the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications.
Fifty final-year students have spent the last eight months designing,
building and testing electronic and software projects in preparation for
entering the work place when they graduate this summer.
Head of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, Oliver Downing,
said: "The students' work demonstrated a high level of design creativity,
technical knowledge and professional engineering skill. It is encouraging
to see that these attributes are keenly sought by our industrial colleagues
and that students' hard work and enthusiasm are rewarded by exciting career
prospects."
