STUDENTS GIVE GREEN LIGHT TO GO ENVIRONMENTAL
Green-fingered
students from the Department
of Environmental Science are asking people to take a leaf out of their
book by launching a campaign to encourage environmental awareness across
campus.
(clockwise from bottom left: James Youldon, David Southward,
James Holmes, Debbie Coates, Sarah McCann, Caroline Andrews.)
The University Environmental Information Campaign, which is to be launched
on World Environment Day on June 5, includes posters, leaflets and the
creation of a website. The purpose is to increase awareness of environmental
issues for both staff and students.
Student Sarah McCann said: "Much of the paper and cardboard sent to the
tip could have been recycled. The campaign hopes to reduce this in future
years."
