The University Environmental Information Campaign, which is to be launched on World Environment Day on June 5, includes posters, leaflets and the creation of a website. The purpose is to increase awareness of environmental issues for both staff and students.

Student Sarah McCann said: "Much of the paper and cardboard sent to the tip could have been recycled. The campaign hopes to reduce this in future years."
