For the last few weeks, staff, students and visitors have been tempted by the many flavoured styles of coffees and teas on sale at the new espresso bar.

Soon, tables and chairs will be added to bring the whole Pavement Café experience to life and it is envisaged the Richmond Foyer will become a place to relax, read a paper and chill out between lectures. The new Coffee Café.

Choose from a wide variety of drinks, including Cappuccino, topped with hot frothy milk; Espresso; Latte, with velvety steamed milk; Caribbean Mocha with coconut syrup; Double Chocolate Mocha with chocolate fudge syrup; or Nutty Mocha with hazelnut syrup.

For serious chocolate lovers, the San Francisco Hot Chocolate can be topped with whipped cream. You can then compliment it with a cup of milk, dark and white chocolate coffee beans or, for those who like to 'dunk', - cacao cream filled profiteroles.

Director of Residences and Catering, Andrew Abbey, said: "The foyer cafe bar is proving very popular and will soon become an additional meeting area. It is the first operation in the U.K. to exclusively use Fair Trade espresso beans, this being an added bonus to the quality of service."
