ThinkBusiness@Bradford
company, Studio 163, received a special award to support the development
of their business at the Incubator Business of the Year Awards.
Studio 163 is a film and animation
company established in September 2003 by Gary Palmer and Stuart Howe,
graduates of Electronic Imaging and Media Communications.
The Incubatee of the Year Award

and was hosted by Business Start-up@LeedsMet.

and Stuart Howe from Studio 163 receiving the "Young Entrepreuers of the
Year 2004" award
Seven finalists competed for
the award and were judged on economic development, organisational growth
and personal development within the incubator. The overall winner of the
£3,000 competition was Luminary Solutions, who have been supported by
Leeds Metropolitan Business Start-up programme.
However, Studio 163 was presented
with "Young Entrepreneurs of the Year 2004" - an additional award created
on the night.
Speaking of the awards, Gary
said they were "really surprised" to win. After a difficult start attempting
to penetrate the multimedia market, Studio 163 found their niche in video
and animation through support from Simon Atherley of Acunity Training.
Since then, they have won
many awards for their entrepreneurialism and secured some key business
contracts and have recently expanded to new offices.
ThinkBusiness@Bradford

undergraduates and postgraduates) and University alumni with one-to-one
