Doctor Goes Back to her School

A research fellow has gone back to her old school to talk to students about the importance of education.

Dr Sobia Kauser was guest of honour at Belle Vue Girls' School, Heaton, for a presentation evening.

She gave a speech at the Thorn Lane school about her career, which began with a first-class Honours degree in Biomedical Sciences.

She is now undertaking postdoctoral research sponsored by Unilever with Professor Desmond Tobin.
