Distinguished Professor visits Bradford

Professor Craig Jordan.Distinguished American scientist Professor Craig Jordan (pictured right) gave a keynote lecture at the University recently on his work developing the drug Tamoxifen, a pioneering anti-cancer drug which has helped to save the lives of 400,000 breast cancer patients.

Professor Jordan is a professor of molecular pharmacology and biological chemistry and holds the Diana Princess of Wales Chair of Cancer Research in North Western University, Chicago.

The audience in The John Stanley Bell Lecture Theatre included leading scientists and clinicians from Bradford, including Professor John Double, who heads the Cancer Research Unit, and Chancellor Baroness Lockwood.
