The move comes after the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications signed a contract with the Zaropozhye Institute of Economics and Information Technology, in the Ukraine, to allow their high-quality graduates to attend the course.

The unique course offers, at an advanced level, the theoretical and practical skills and knowledge to build or develop e-commerce applications, to understand the business environment in which e-commerce will grow, and to understand and exploit the telecommunications systems on which the Internet is founded. It does this with a blend of in-depth commerce-related technologies such as IP networking, financial cryptography and e-business simulation together with business-oriented modules delivered by the School of Management.

The course was designed by Professor Simon Shepherd, who was recently promoted to a Personal Chair and is one of only a few experts in the field of computer security in the UK.
