STUDENTS ARE GOOD SPORTS

The Women's Hockey TeamDaring students from the University have stripped off for Christmas to help raise money for the University's sports clubs.

Members of the clubs offered their services when they were approached to take part in a special one-off Christmas calendar.

Sports and Societies Officer, Colin Leeman, said: "The calendar features various hunky sporting chaps and fit athletic ladies in and out of kit. Although not everyone was prepared to strip to their bare necessities, many of the models braved the cold temperatures for a worthy cause. The calendar will help fund the University's annual Sports Awards Dinner, which honours the year's outstanding athletes."

One rugby player shed his embarrassment, and his clothes, to spend the afternoon stark naked in the Amphitheatre, while ignoring the giggles from passing students.

Meanwhile, the Rock Climbing club star in February's picture hiding their blushes with creatively positioned chalk bags. And, not to be outstripped, the Women's Hockey and Netball teams are pictured behind a series of well-placed sticks and balls.

The calendar, which costs £4.50, is available in the Students' Union Communal Building, from the Sports and Societies Officer, Colin Leeman.

Colin makes a naked guest appearance as the calendar's Mr June.
