STUDENTS INVITED TO JOIN JUNIOR UNIVERSITY

Participant of the Junior Unversity.The University is inviting young people who require help with Maths, Science and Information Technology to join its Junior University programme.

Workshops run by the School of Lifelong Education and Development introduce participants to a wide range of courses available at the University while helping youngsters to develop confidence, knowledge and a better idea of a future career.

The Junior University makes facilities available to young people over the age of 14 studying for GCSE and AS qualifications, and offers homework assistance. It is aimed at supporting education in the community at all levels. Any youngsters who would like to take part in the workshops are welcome.

Junior University Co-ordinator, Anwar Ayub, said: "The Junior University introduces young people to university facilities at a much earlier stage, increasing knowledge, confidence and aspiring young people to make Higher Education a reality. It also offers valuable help with GCSE and A level examinations." The workshops include basic First Aid and exam revision classes.

The workshops run every Saturday in the University's Richmond Building, from 10am until 12pm.
