BRADFORD HELPS CELEBRATE BIRTHDAY

A 200-strong brass band and a sea of brightly-coloured balloons met Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Alan Waton, and Head of the International Office, Haydn Bartlett, when they arrived at the Heilongjiang University in the North of China.

Alan and Haydn were invited to represent the University at the sixtieth anniversary celebrations of Heilongjiang University, which has recently signed an agreement for the annual transfer of degree-level students from China to Bradford.

They formed part of the delegation of distinguished guests from Russia, Korea, Taiwan and Japan and were, notably, the only European guests in the delegation.
