Ecoversity![]()
Over the last year both staff and students have contacted Ecoversity to express an interest in growing food on campus. We have listened, and are pleased to announce the launch of a new 'Growing Spaces' Project. Staff and students are invited to come together to develop a food growing space on campus. Gardening experience is not necessary - all that's required is an interest, enthusiasm and a desire to make the most of Nature's Gym!
Go on, get involved and Grow Your Own Grub!
Interested?
Come along to any of the meetings (detail below).
This project is in association with Ecoversity, the Local Action Group, Estates & Facilities and the Student Union. Thanks are extended to all involved for their continued commitment.
Update: 21 April 2010.
A glorious gardening gathering is coming up with seed planting, bed building and plant swopping. Miranda is coming over to help out and meet up with us too. We’ll do some planning for this year and walk away with plants for our home window ledges.
Plus there’s some exciting news about a grant and extra support from the NUS so we can make some more wishes for the site. All will be revealed on Wednesday 28th April (next week) at the Veg out Patch, come along from 2pm, bring any seeds, plants and tools you have and join the fun!
All enquiries, please be in touch with Ros Coulton
