October 2004 News
- Module results - new processing arrangements. MAV reassignment workshops will be held in F29 on 18th (9.30am) and 21st (1.30pm) October 2004. Bring sample live data to these sessions to work with. These workshops will show how to handle module results from the 2002/3 2003/4 transition.
- Processing results after Boards of Examiners meetings. The key to all this is communication – please talk to each other to ensure that the records are corrected/updated as soon as possible after Boards of Examiners have met. See this document for full explanation.
- Deadline for generation SMR records. As Syllabus Plus, the Examinations Scheduler, will be obtaining its data feed from the SMR table in SAINT, all students will need to have their module assessment records (SMR records) generated by Friday 29th October 2004 in order for the Examinations Office to publish their exam timetables. It should be noted that all 2003/4 module assessment records will need to be up to date too, otherwise the numbers of students being entered for examinations will not be correct. As discussed at the User Forum held on 23rd September 2004, it was agreed that, due to requirements for Blackboard, SMO's need to be created as soon as possible and by no later than the end of week one. SMR's will also be needed for the revised exams extract and therefore SMR's need to be created by the same deadline. Given the complexity of this task, the Deadline Date has been extended to the end of S1.05 (Semester 1, Week 5).
