The Green Ambassadors

About The Green Associations and The Green Ambassadors

  • The Green is divided into seven Green Associations, each with approximately 150 students.
  • The Associations are led by a group of enthusiastic Green Ambassadors, who we recruit at the beginning of the academic year.
  • The Ambassadors organise events, communicate with their students, promote engagement and provide accommodation feedback.
  • Ambassadors also do everything they can to win competitions and obtain the Association of the Year title at the end of the academic year.
  • Monthly meetings of all Ambassadors are aimed at discussing events, giving accommodation feedback from students and brainstorming different ideas.
  • There are several competitions scheduled throughout the year, which enable The Green Associations to compete with each other. They cover a wide variety of interests, from sports to fundraising. Together with awards for the participants, every competition allows the associations to gain points. At the end of the year, the association with the highest score wins The Association of The Year title.

Special Messages from the 2011-12 Green Ambassadors

To The Emerald Green Association

“Emerald Green, don’t let us down. We were cheated out of the win in year one, so you best bring the win home for us. Good luck and have fun!” Dave

To The Celadon Green Association

“Congrats on being in what is clearly the best Association! Celadon rocks! I would say good luck, but seeing as you’re in Celadon, you won’t need it. All the best!” Ed and Sam

To The Harlequin Green Association

“The Harlequin was a team of girls who succeeded in a year in going from last place in the chart to first place, wining The Green Association of The Year title. Go and win! If we succeeded, you can do it too! And never be afraid to take part in competitions, it gets you points!” Ruxandra
