Choosing the right accommodation
Choosing the right accommodation is one of the most important decisions you have to make when starting life at University.
Much of your time outside your course commitments will be spent in your new home, whether that's in a hall of residence or in private accommodation. Bradford is well served with suitable student accommodation within the city, a good selection of University-owned and nominated Halls, as well as a good supply of private sector accommodation.
The University offers a range of accommodation to suit both your budget and your needs, in terms of standards and facilities. All the Halls are close to the central activities in the University; those sited at Laisteridge Lane are only five minutes' walk away.
Location of our Halls
The map below shows the Halls on our main campus. We also have Vernon Barnby hall at the School of Management.
Our site will provide you with information about accommodation and so enable you to make an informed choice and guide you through the application process.
You will find information on the range of Halls available through the University Accommodation Services and information on Unipol Student Homes which works with the University to provide information to students on local private landlords.
Our site also answers Frequently Asked Questions. However, if you have additional questions please don't hesitate to contact the Accommodation Services Office, and our staff will be pleased to help and advise.
When you have read our information, if you feel that you would like to live in halls of residence, please complete the application process and return your form to us as quickly as possible.
When applying it is important that you list your Halls preferences in order as this will help us in our allocation process. It isn't always possible to give students their first choice of accommodation so it is useful to have other options indicated in preference order. When allocating places in Halls we do our best to ensure fairness and equality.
University-owned and nominated Halls comply with the Housing Act 2004 and work to the ANUK National Code of Standards.
