Research Interests. to top.
Wound healing is the main focus of current research and one cell in particular, the myofibroblast, has been studied in great detail. Studies on this cell have attempted to understand how it is able to contract during the process of wound healing so that a rational pharmacological approach may be made in designing drugs to modify its contractility. Research into the type and nature of drugs cited in historical manuscripts is also an area of interest.
