The Centre for International Cooperation and Security (CICS) is an internationally recognized centre of excellence for research, training and learning in ‘peace and security’ issues and concerns at the interface of: human security; violent conflict; sustainable development; and democratic governance. We specialize in applied policy- and programme-oriented research, complemented by extensive analytical experience and expertise. Based within the University of Bradford's Department of Peace Studies, CICS is located at the hub of an international network of experts and partner institutions in related disciplines, enabling us to deliver an extensive and flexible array of customized advice, opportunities and solutions to meet the needs of a diverse and growing client base of academic institutions, governmental agencies, international organizations, the private sector and civil society groups.
