Staff Research in Development and Economics

Often taking an interdisplinary approach, our main research activities fall into four main themes, details below:

Staff in the department are actively engaged in research across a range of contemporary issues. Our work is centred on applied and policy-relevant research questions and is widely published in leading journals and by major publishers. Our research underpins the courses we teach and helps shape the development of our degree courses and knowledge-transfer activities.

We have a commitment to providing high quality support and training for research students and welcome applications to register for a PhD in any of our areas of interest.
